SG Multiply

serves and equips partners to integrate a savings group ministry that supports their work of holistic transformation in the churches and communities they serve.

Who is SG Multiply for?

HOPE has launched SG Multiply to serve mission-aligned church networks or organizations that are directly engaged in planting and/or supporting local churches. Here are some additional criteria we look for in potential SG Multiply partners:

  • motivated to see savings groups become an important aspect of their ministry
  • committed to pursuing holistic ministry/integral mission through local churches and communities
  • has at least 100 churches that are able to implement savings groups (or is in the process of planting churches in 100 communities)
  • demonstrated capacity to work with local churches and communities on project implementation
  • equipped to dedicate the necessary personnel and financial resources to implement a successful savings group program without ongoing support or oversight from HOPE.

What is SG Multiply?

SG Multiply is an initiative to expand the reach and impact of holistic savings groups. Recognizing that the need for this poverty-alleviation tool far exceeds HOPE’s expansion capacity as one organization, we’re equipping other organizations to start new savings groups in churches and communities they already serve.

HOPE's partnership with UNTOLD

In 2018, HOPE International partnered with Untold to help them launch a savings group program to contribute to their mission to equip people to live a life beyond AIDS. We celebrate the impact of this partnership and the work of Untold for the people they seek to serve in East and Southern Africa.
